XANT Hires VP of Demand Generation

Michael Plante has accepted the position of vice president of demand generation and will report to Chief Marketing Officer Mick Hollison. Plante’s primary focus is driving increased demand for the company’s sales acceleration platform and related business solutions. Plante brings more than two decades of experience with technology companies both nationally and internationally. Most recently, he helped drive growth strategies for award-winning and category-leading products, such as GoToMeeting and GoToMyPC, as vice president of marketing strategy and operations for the $560 million SaaS division at Citrix. Plante previously worked at Symantec, where he was the vice president of product marketing and marketing strategy. In this role, he was responsible for go-to-market and growth strategies for the $2 billion Norton portfolio of products. Before this role, Plante led Symantec’s European consumer marketing organization, a 36-member team responsible for delivering $540 million in annual sales from consumers and small businesses across Europe. “Mike’s wealth of experience in driving growth strategies for category-leading companies, such as Citrix and Symantec, will be instrumental to XANT,” Hollison said. “We are very pleased with his decision to join XANT as we continue to define and revolutionize sales acceleration software with communications, gamification, predictive analytics and data visualization solutions.” Earlier in his career, Plante held senior leadership roles in marketing, sales and development with storage technology provider PowerQuest, financial services infrastructure provider iLumin and commercial training pioneer Wicat. “I’m excited to use what I’ve learned about driving demand for innovative technologies to accelerate the growth of XANT as its solutions continue to transform sales and marketing strategies at the world’s top companies,” Plante said.
