Josh James to Join Board of Directors of XANT

Josh JamesSILICON SLOPES, Nov. 5, 2012 – XANT today announced that Domo founder and CEO Josh James, who is also known for his dynamic leadership of Omniture and its eventual $1.8 billion sale to Adobe, is joining the Board of Directors of XANT. XANT is the leading sales automation and analytics platform for inside sales professionals.

XANT also announced earlier this year that James invested in the company in the same funding round led by Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and several other SaaS industry leaders.

“XANT is bringing an entirely new experience to sales automation by integrating gamification, social media and texting into their platform, “ said James. “We’ve seen what XANT can do to shorten Domo’s own sales cycles. I’m excited to see XANT continue to deliver new value to its growing customer base. I’ve known Dave for a long time and I look forward to sharing more insights with him and his team over the coming years as they build their business.”

In 1996, James co-founded the first enterprise SaaS business, Omniture; took it public in 2006; and sold it to Adobe in 2009. It was the number one returning venture investment out of 1,008 venture capital investments in 2004. In 2010, James started SaaS-based Domo to redefine the business intelligence market and transform the way business is managed. James has been involved with XANT for several years as a friend and mentor of Dave Elkington, CEO and Founder.

“Having Josh more formally involved in the business will be absolutely invaluable,” Elkington said. “His insights and feedback have helped us build our current momentum. Josh’s experience building and managing exponential growth will be instrumental in directing our hyper-growth to building the next Utah-based billion-dollar business.”
