XANT Awarded Big Data Predictive Analytics Patent for Sales and Marketing Applications

PROVO, Utah, February 12, 2013 – XANT, the leading sales automation and predictive analytics provider for inside sales professionals, today announced the United States Patent Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 8,352,389 protecting a revolutionary new method to intelligently analyze data to solve complex problems with multiple interdependent outputs combined with multiple potential correct outputs. The patent, Multiple Output Relaxation (MOR), will impact how every technology company looks at their data because it allows for solving problems with interdependent variables. In an application for sales and lead response, MOR provides sales reps with the ability to use big data to further leads through the sales process. ““This technology is a game changer for companies with large amounts of data because it allows them to analyze and increase productivity in a way that was previously impossible,” explained Dave Elkington, CEO and founder of XANT. “Applying the algorithms in the sales industry, the invention will provide sales teams and reps with the optimal communication strategy for a given lead, prospect or customer, and maximizes overall sales effectiveness.” Within sales organizations, this technology can be used to create optimized communication and interaction plans. An example case would be if a sales rep wants to contact a lead, the technology can predict the optimal method (call, email, fax, SMS, Social Media, etc.), when to call, which sales person is most likely to progress the sale, and even the specific content that the sales message should contain. In the past year, XANT was issued two other patents protecting both the lead response and telecommunication technologies. The lead response patent covers the ability to detect online activity and contact the user in conjunction with a preferred or optimal response plan, such as initiating a return call as soon as possible. The telecommunication patent covers the ability to perform an auxiliary function on a web-call after the call has been made.
